Union Territories in India.

As on today,there are 8 union Territories and 28 states.

With recurring friction between Lt Governors and the elected chief ministers of these Territories such as Pondicherry, NCR ,and the resultant legal battles impel one to go for a  suitable constitutional amendment to remedy the perennial problems.

It is high time such a solution is contemplated.

NCR, Pondicherry ( after merging yanam in AP and the contagious part in Kerala)  .,Jammu with Ladakh  and separate Kashmir be made independent states.

As regards Dadra, Nagerhaveli,Diu and Daman,they  be merged with the contagious states Gujarat, Maharashtra etc .

Chandigarh and Andamans with lakshdweep island remain as Union Territories.

Such regrouping is LONG

 Overdue.

Instead of a  Lt Governor(Anachronistic in a Democracy) chief Admin can replace him. 

Praying that the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya sabha would care to consider the above.
