October 19,2013.                        Dr.Ravuri Bharadwaja, a  Telugu novelist, short-story writer, poet and critic has passed away on 18-Oct-2013 i.e. only four days after collecting the Gyanpith Award in New Delhi on 14-Oct-2013.  Many Writers, Poets, Politicians including the Chief Minister Mr.Reddy, Cine Artistes are visiting Dr.Ravuri’s house in our Colony (Vijaya Nagar Colony in Hyderabad) where He used to reside.  His last journey is just passed away in front of our house with all Government Formalities.

I recollect, it was only because of Sri Akella Lakshmana Mohan Mohan garu, I had the chance of meeting Him in person twice – once during Aug’2011 when we searched for female voice over artistes for VoiceGate Technologies where I worked earlier and secondly on 14-Sep-2013 to share our happiness on His winning Gyanpith award.   His formal education might have lasted till 7th class, but His written novels, plays and other books are being utilized by Students as course works carrying out research for their several Ph.D Degrees.  Knowing and experiencing all in ample measures viz. hunger, non-education, insult, injustice, irregularities, adharma and unemployment, He raised his voice against them and contributed / donated money to many Universities, Colleges and the Poor in the name of His wife Kanthamma garu.

What sweet memory can there be for me when I said to Dr.Bharadwaja my name as “MMRao”, He asked me to elaborate it and my full name was written by Him in his Diary with my phone number !!!
